Assistant Professor, Institute of Biomedical Sciences and Department of Translational Oncology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Chile.

He has experience in genetic characterization of the Chilean population. His expertise is the genomic study of ancestry in human admixed populations using bioinformatic tools.

He has been the responsible investigator for the ChileGenomico FONDEF project, which developed a panel of ancestry informative markers for the Chilean population.

He directs a genomics and a bioinformatics laboratories where genomic data for this project will generated and analyzed.
